Wright Connatser has been a long-standing supporter of Social Venture Partners Dallas and its programming. That continues on Aug. 26 with “Hope, Freedom and Reform: A Daughter’s Journey,” featuring social justice champion and fighter Brittany K. Barnett (pictured at right). After Brittany’s remarks about criminal justice reform, she will join an online chat moderated by our own Robin Minick.

While she was growing up, Brittany’s mother was incarcerated, so she has seen firsthand the damage mass incarnation inflicts on families and communities. Brittany has dedicated her life and career to advocating for criminal justice reform. All proceeds from the digital luncheon will go to Girls Embracing Mothers, the nonprofit organization she founded to help girls with mothers in prison lead successful lives of purpose and vision.
